Decisions and handoff

- Preserve the article topic and canonical destination across homepage, search and archive.
Recovery and acceptance
- No imagery uses an intentional fallback, not a stretched placeholder.
- Missing editorial data must not imply fabricated current news.
- Check back navigation returns to the expected archive context.
