Task and context
Prepare image metadata once and reuse the asset appropriately across stories and public surfaces.
Flow and composition
| Stage | Interface responsibility |
|---|---|
| Find | Search/filter the media library before uploading a duplicate. |
| Prepare | Select local image files and inspect their previews/dimensions. |
| Describe | Set title, subject, context, alt, caption and photographer credit. |
| Control exposure | Choose whether the asset belongs in the public photo library. |
| Save | Upload and register; report individual results. |
| Use | Select the asset in a story and confirm crop/credit. |
Decisions and handoff
- Alt text, caption and attribution have different audiences and purposes.
- Retain dimensions and use the original image when an inspection view needs high resolution.
Recovery and acceptance
- Partial batch failure should preserve metadata and identify the affected item.
- A local ready preview is not a provider upload.
- Check metadata integrity after actual registration in an authorized test environment.
