States and feedback
- Loading and unavailable must be distinguishable from no matching places.
- Map tile rendering and live overlays are not captured in this guide.
- Native place detail is captured separately.
Usage rules
- Keep a useful text-based place description when the map cannot render.
- Do not imply trail/access safety from a decorative marker.
- A new layer must use Boise data and existing source conventions.
Accessibility and verification
Maps need keyboard-reachable controls and an equivalent way to identify places. Review reduced motion, clustered markers, contrast and attribution in an authorized provider environment.
