What developers say when I critique WordPress

When I criticize WordPress online, one of the most common comments I get is this: "You only think WordPress is bad because you don’t know how to use it." That’s an interesting assumption. Before moving to modern frameworks, I spent about 15 years building with WordPress. Hundreds of themes, dozens of plugins, and websites for over a hundred clients. At one point GoDaddy even featured me as a WordPress developer in a video filmed here in Boise.
